Regional Magazine Front Cover Practice- Banff, Canada

After all of the research i conducted into my Canadian, Banff mind map i discovered the few selected sectors that would be commonly in a local Canadian regional magazines. I saw it important to include some of the inside stories on the front cover for advertisement and to entice people to want to read eye-catching headlines. The background image i chose to use for the Canadian regional magazine was Lake Louise, mid summer, displaying many bright bold colors because making the Mise en scene attractive to the eye is going to increase the chance of people seeing it on the shelves and wanting to buy it for themselves. The image also contains many pieces that people would associate with Canadian culture, such as canoes and Fir tree's. To contrast with the bright choice of background image i chose to use white font. I made this decision because there is already so much going on in the picture.. that it would be more complimentary, if the front was bold but the color simple, this is what made me stick to a three font colors. In addition to the fonts and color choices i added a bar code to finalize the professional standard.
